Yeohye Koo was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1955. She graduated from the Department of Oriental Painting at Chugye University of Arts and completed her MFA course in Christian Art at Baekseok University. She has been a Korean painter and participated in many exhibitions, including 21 individual exhibitions in Korea and many other countries.
In her work, she uses particular object images in a modern and sophisticated ways to express god’s endless love for human. Sea and wave images are used as metaphor of our life and Wings represents that God is always with us.
She belongs to the Korean Fine Art Association, the Christian Artists Association of Korea, the Women’s Association Korean Painting, the Naeo Society and the Christians in the Visual Arts ( CIVA ). And now, she is an adviser to the Christian Artist’s Ministry of Korea.
